Secret Decoder, Linux version |
November, 2000
When I noticed that the This American Life website did not have a Linux version of their Secret Decoder, I decided to write one myself.
If you have questions or comments about this Linux decoder implementation please email me at alext at handcraftedbytes dot com. Any faults in this implementation are mine alone.
Download Linux Decoder 1.0 binary : A zipped tar file containing the decoder binary and the supporting image files. The decoder uses the Gtk and Imlib libraries, and I developed it on a system running Redhat Linux 6.2 with the Gnome desktop. To run the decoder just download, unpack, and run 'decoder/decoder'.
Download Linux Decoder 1.0 sources : A zipped tar file containing the source file, makefile, and supporting image files for the decoder. You only need this file if you wish to examine the sources.
